Two lovely girls Kristie and Coralie quit their 9-5 city jobs and put everything they had into opening the shop as a temporary pop up last year and after convincing the bank that it was a viable proposition, opened the doors last Christmas as a full time business. Everything is for sale at Drink Shop & Do: from designer crafts, vintage tea sets, 1950's dressers and unusual tables and chairs, to hand-made cakes, ice creams, specialty teas, kitsch finger sandwiches, bottled beers and cocktails. They also host special events each week such as 'scrabble and knitting' night, crazy hat tea parties and loads of hands on craft activities which require no skill whatsoever. I often pop in for a cocktail or two with the girls from our studio to find that we're presented with a chunk of clay and told that it's 'Michael Jackson Clay night'! Brilliant.
Here's my pals and I at the Pumpkin carving cocktail evening last October.
Today they delivered a big box of cakes to me at wonderlandWPA just because they'd made far too much! amazing.
