Oh Balls! & my imaginary life.

Apparently I've used almost 97% of my 'image allowance' on this blog. Booo. I've been trying to add some photos this evening and it won't let me - apart from this quick collage which I am calling:

'My Imaginary Life'.

The only alternative is to pay a subscription fee which is a load of old balls and too expensive a commitment for a hobby that amounts to little more than me spouting a load of old waffle that not many people read.
This may be the end. *sad face*

go compare - inspired ad campaign

A clever ad campaign has sprung up across Britain this week. Gio - the annoying Go Compare incarnation had appeared in a series of ads which have seemingly been vandalised with various  'funny' expressions telling him to sling his hook. I hate those adverts myself, so when I saw the first one - I smiled in agreement - yeah f**k off pizza face!
A Go Compare spokesman however said: "The graffiti is part of a national poster campaign in relation to our new TV ad." And he added: "Gio is very important to us, but we realise there are some people that don’t love him in quite the same way that we do.”
HATE HIM. but good campaign.

coming soon.

Adventuring to one of the wonders of the world with Hanna, intrepid explorer and fearless boozer.

Boom Boom (yeah - again I know)

Some things are worth a second or even a third visit. Boom Boom Club is one of them (along with the reduced isle in Sainsbury's on a Sunday, the toilet after a particularly spicy curry and the bar on a saturday night - obviously). So my friends and I are set for round three on August 4th to see:
Jonny Woo, Katharine Arnold, Up & Over It, Phil Kay, Tumble Circus, Sarah-Louise Young, Lucky Franco, David Armand, Kitty Bang Bang, Lady Carol, So & So Circus, Eastend Cabaret and many more. Special guests TBA. Directed by Dusty Limits.

A wonderful wonderland week in the life of...

I've been back at wonderlandwpa freelancing and loving it, back in Drink Shop Do, back in Tesco for my lunch and back on the supertrain through the INCREDIBLE new St. Pancras.
Great week - great working coming out of the studio and loads of lovely fun with my ladies in between all the hard work. I must say - I did make myself feel very at home back in my old desk!

Had a dance with some strangers today, popped in for 10 mins to Drink Shop Dance for a quick LUNCHTIME DISCO shimmy and it was really good, well it is only next door after all- it was certainly better than sitting at my desk (see above).

Scott Hove presents : CAKELAND

Along comes Scott Hove - finally answering that age old question 'what would Mr Kipling and H.R Geigers love child be like?' . Everything is made out of cake in cake world, (funny that) but with a few added surprise elements - false teeth, hair, nails...basically anything sharp and scary. It's my parents 30th wedding anniversary in a few weeks, I'll keep it in mind when I think of a cake for them! website madness here

And my friend Clare informs me that Louboutin himself is now designing SARDINE SHOES - yes! everyone's going sardine mad....

The sun is bloody finally out - ice cream time!

Landor have only gone and done the whole entire lot of this work (below). Bardot is a new US ice cream brand aimed at the luxury end of the market available in a few unusual flavours (see their cool website). They're about £5 each - wowzers. Love it. Want one. Want a store in the UK too. Yum.

For argument's sake this is oil & water.

It's not oil and water but the principal is the same. It's actually called Ferrofluid which I believe is some sort of magnetic solution. Well I read it and took the essence because sheesh they do like to go on about their work these artist. Cutting through the waffle this oily liquid, which when injected with bright watercolours and magnetised somehow - goes mental! See - good thing I decided against being an art teacher.

Supermundane - top all round lovely bloke and amazeballs artist.

I was fortunate enough to meet Supermundane at a recent Notinhouse talk and he's a great man indeed - he's now doing an exhibition at Kemistry for the next week or so. Really lovely prints are available to buy and back catalogue copies of his Anorak kids magazine.

Ladies - try to contain your excitement.

Have you seen this advert? Apparently there are a lot of complaints - excellent.

Fire & Knives did it first.

Spotted this Master Card ad and was aghast at the blatant copy, and lazy copying too - at least turn the angle and change the colours sheesh!.
