gourmet and other things.

This is Gourmet. He is a Gourami fish but because I keep pronouncing that incorrectly he has been simply named Gourmet. We've now got about 20 fish in the tank but he's the best.

This poster made me giggle, the can under the lights simply says TUNA, you may have to be a designer to understand. 'is this saying tuna to you?'

Kitty has a great salt cellar in her kitchen, it's an old glass medicine bottle squished down.
O.M.G I'm working with carl again.... loving his shoes and socks of late.

brockley market.

Finally made it down to Brockley Market for some breakfast, it's totally brilliant and likely to be a regular saturday morning event.

we are chefs.

Kitty's beef & ale pie
Neil's scallop spaghetti and duck egg niscoise

esther's salmon, lentil and mushroom surprise. (the surprise was we stayed up all night raving which has nothing to do with the meal really)

Well done Craig Barnes.

Craig at Coley's has just finished working on M Savers. the value range from Morrisons.
He used to come home and swear about it almost daily, so not only am I relieved for him, but pleased that after such an effort on his part - it looks really great. Nice job, he tells me there's even a sardine tin.

They're not real!

Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori creates paintings of goldfish by layering resin and paint over and over to build up a 3D image.
I thought he'd poured the resin over live fish it looks so real.
Video is fascinating!

Colour Makes People Happy Shop

East Dulwich.
It's always shut when I walk past, but they've got a big spinny wheel thing in the middle of the shop surrounded by jugs of paint which I presume is for chucking colour on. Had a spinny type game like that as a child where you could paint brilliant swirly pictures.
Yikes, so much fun.

They also sell all these bright lovely cables which I LOVE LOADS.

what?

Chromatic Typewriter.

Washington-based painter Tyree Callahan modified a 1937 Underwood Standard typewriter, replacing the letters and keys with color pads and hued labels to create a functional “painting” device called the Chromatic Typewriter.

I miss Naarrwich.

anything that has 'Risk it for a biscuit' in the body copy must be fun.

(Not my words)
Live Art Speed Date (LASD) is a fairground of exciting and unusual one-on-one performances, conceived and hosted by artists Stoke Newington International Airport (STK). A LASD involves a building full of artists, each creating a four-minute-long encounter - a date - performed one-on-one with the audience member.

Arbitrary judgements, fear of rejection, love at first sight...
15th-17th December
Over tables, through booths, up ladders and all over the STK building, 20 artists set up four-minute dates for an audience to explore on their individual off-road performance journey.

Play *Risk it for a Biscuit, Tin Can Telephone *or *Human Pyramid* with fellow audience members to win date vouchers you can exchange in the pit from the STK ring-master hosts.

Sounds a bit You Me Bum Bum Train to me. (those who know will know) - and I've got a ticket whoop.

I'm doing cat stuff.

"Are you the placement?" "No I'm the freelancer"

I either look about 16 or I'm actually a bit of a crap designer.

Here's my latest work - a drawing by Esther Clarke and myself conceived around midnight last Tuesday week.

Riding House Cafe

Riding House Cafe is my new favourite place. Super NY brasserie style captured perfectly and reclaimed/vintage/upcycled done beautifully and for once properly. Apparently some of the table legs are old snooker cues, though I didn't notice because of the squirrels (see picture), and the private dining room is actually an old English horse stable, demolished, transported and rebuilt - well it is next to Riding Street after all.

I love it, and the menu is brilliant - lunch girls?

I do not approve of squirrels as ornaments in fact I was in Regents Park with a bag of peanuts scouring some hungry nut munchers before stopping at the Riding Hosue for lunch, however, I'll let them off this once.
