two good things of the day...

a chair made from coat hangers.
and some toast, cream cheese and apricot which looks like a fried egg - genius!

kule KULER

Someone tipped me off about this last week: Kuler, an Adobe extension for Ai. where you can share colour themes, never again need your work look dull and boring - clashing/contrasting/whatever colours. I'm not sure about uploading your own, but if you want to quickly illustrate a beach scene for example, downloading the 'sand and stone' swatches (which takes seconds) is probably worth while.

London Wonderland Southbank.

Forget the spazzy purple cow and the fact that this even is sponsored by E4, the Southbank is brilliant at the moment, there's a really great area called the wonderland - I think - which is definitely free for everyone to go and hang out in. There are bars, fast (but good) food stalls and an enchanting area with hidden wooden huts and hide out places, tree swings, tree houses, and toad stool seats all decorated with colourful paper lanterns and fairy lights. It really is rather lovely. Central to all of this is the temporary performance venue with a load of brilliant acts on for most of the summer. I absolutely recommend this one :boy with tape on his face-

AND....
CANTINA. which is cabaret (yes I know MORE cabaret) but this time it's performed by a small crack team of international misfits and it really is quite different and features a host of uber-buff hot men. Definitely go and see it, my friends eyes nearly popped out of her head with shock!

Beautiful stacking creepy crawlie glasses, perfect for summer when all manner of little insects seem to be coming in to the house. From Propaganda.
Billed as their biggest adventure yet - this is looking like it might be a big one - following on the success of the excellent Lost Boys which took over Canary Warf and was probably one of my favourite days of last summer. This really is not just turning up to a screening in fancy dress. There are an (optional) host of pre-show missions for the following weeks including lectures, training and physical fitness programmes to get involved in.
Limited numbers of tickets have been issued and you need to sign up quite quickly to be part of it.

jubilee vintage cereal packs at sainsburys/

This  might be the most exciting news I've heard in weeks..."For the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration, Kellogg’s has launched a limited edition of vintage inspired packaging for collectors and cereal enthusiasts. The design of the packaging dates back to the 1950′s, which is the decade when the Queen ascended to the throne. For a lot of people in the western world Kelogg’s cereals have been a must-have in every household, so this is a nice reminder of how our familiar brands were back on the day. The boxes will be for sale from April 22 to June 25, an original commemoration to the Royal celebrations!

culture label online shopping.

somewhere a little different to browse for art and unusual gifts. Hand picked from galleries, museums, artists and independent stores there are actually some nice little finds on here - none of which I've chosen to show you, instead here are pictures of a novelty umbrella and toilet door inspired engagement ring, which I found mildly amusing - though it would cut no mustard with me sunshine!

support and encouragement.

I'm running Hamstead race for life again this year with a crack team of specialists - Carrie, Sara, Claire and Jackie. If anyone would like to actually sponsor me - even a quid it would be much appreciated.

Just look at what I'm up against - my two very best people and all I get is abuse!
