DIGITAL SKETCHBOOK - JACOBS KIDS.

Luke Chawner designed the final pack. All my roughs beforehand.

Imaginawesome

(pinched from Emerald Street) Small children have amazing imaginations, but often lack the motor skills/BA (hons) in design to create the pictures in their heads. However, US illustrator and photographer Garrett Miller has stepped in and re-drawn a bunch of kids’ pictures. The results are enchanting. http://imaginawesome.com/

What's your beef?

The allure of the phenomenon that is Burrito has not abated.
Since it's opening last week I've been collecting snaps of the hungry beef munchers queueing outside. It's directly opposite our front door so every time I pop out for a coffee I take a surreptitious shot...

Not content with one Pret in King's Cross there is also a super-hyper-über-decathlon-hypermarket Pret opening round the corner as of next week. After discovering they cunningly syphoned a whopping 650 calories in their seemingly innocent salads, which on the surface look like nothing but a box of leaves, I have decided to shun them in favour of bringing in my own. There's not much to choose from anymore, King's Cross lunches are dry. Dry as my tuna sandwich...
I put it to anyone willing to stump up the capital for a jacket potato stand that I'll make us millionaires.

Good old King's Cross, I bloody love it.

A great chap from a really great pub...

Mason & Taylor is an independently supplied craft beer and real ale bar in Shoreditch.

With nothing brewed under licence, and with a particular focus on London micro-breweries such as Camden Town Brewery and the Kernel Brewery. My friend Matt who works at Mason & Taylor (which stocks almost all of the Kernal range), recently went to their brewery to see how it's all done.

I love their labels - which is why I'm particularly interested in this and I'm happy to see they're all hand applied. So good. Anyway, Matt also says if anyone is interested in going on a bit of a beer journey - drop into the bar and just ask for him. Mason & Taylor website .

Has anyone seen my Chihuahua?

My friends husband, HUSBAND? yes husband..(sorry newlyweds) has just got his first book printed and after extensive consumer testing from niece Isla it's set to go on sale from November. Written by Clare Wigfall and illustrated by the lovely Ollie Lett,
Has anyone seen my Chihuahua?
tells the story of one young girls quest to find her missing pet and each page has a brilliant illustration of the animals she meets on the way. Personally I love Ollie's city scence work but appreciate the unique character he gives to his paintings of cats and dogs, which he is probably better known for.
You can reserve a copy here! and you can see more of his work here on his website.
These are my favourite pieces;
